The Art Around You

Written by Joseph Hobbs

In this world, more is geared to art than you think. Each house you see was made over the course of days, weeks, months. By architects and people of many different disciplines, all striving to create something for people to live in. The house you live in, it was painted with a lot of diligent attention, if not love. The moment you step outside, this extends to the garden. The path. The pavement. The roads and highways, the beaches, cities, towns, and river walks. All of it is not simply complex and growing nature, but also one gigantic piece of art, or a million projects made by billions of people.

The art surrounding us in this world is there to be enjoyed, and part of that enjoyment can be a sense of happiness and peace. An opposition to the negatives, to the difficulties surrounding or within you.

Those silly car adverts have a hint of truth to them. These vehicles, your car or those of your family were made for people to enjoy and give them ease as well as utility. You want to drive a car because you like how you feel when you drive it. Where you are going matters. It matters to you. And all of that comes from within.

At its most basic, I think art, creation, these things revolve around different core things that threat throughout it. construction, inspiration, the energy to persevere and finish it. This applies to almost anything; but that is because the nature of art can apply to almost anything.

Within the environment within you, surrounding you, and further and further outside of you, these elements of construction, pieces of art, all of it is possible for you to see piecemeal. They can be enjoyed, worked on. And these simple, small measures also have the power to modify you personally. As I said before; you like the car because you like how you feel driving it. You like that report because it was a good piece of work you wrote well. when you sit down on a bench to enjoy a sandwich, seeing people talking, the birds and watching the sun go by, there are so many facets of art that will bring a little more sunshine into your heart. It has that capacity.

What lies within you can be drawn out into anything. And I would argue that if you feel the desire, it should. What do you want to make? The feelings in you can be made into words. Images. Films. Pictures, stories, galleries, whatever you want. It is how the houses, the planes, cars and all manner of other objects come into being. What do they have that you don’t? Nothing. And I believe they felt that way, a lot of them felt exactly the same as you when they started.

Nurture that urge. Cultivate it. Where it goes isn’t something I can predict, or guide you through. I just want to say that there is an incredible amount of art within. Within you. And you have the capacity to make a great deal of it.
